HelpBro privacy
This supplement describes HelpBro’s processing for authorized merchants and incorporates BroFam’s shared privacy notice and Data Processing Agreement.
Development status
HelpBro Lite is currently a Development preview. Capabilities and providers may change before Production. The merchant-facing workspace is authoritative for which integrations and channels are enabled.
Information processed
HelpBro may process merchant shop and installation identifiers; authorized owner and staff identity, role, invitation, and access records; configured brand and support settings; approved Shopify product, customer, and order context; customer-service messages and summaries; case, assignment, note, and outcome records; and security, audit, usage, and operational records.
Purposes and boundaries
Information is used to provide merchant-directed customer support, retrieve approved store context, route and summarize conversations, enable accountable staff takeover, send transactional staff invitations and requested support notices, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and meet Shopify or legal obligations. HelpBro does not sell personal information or use one merchant’s customer data to benefit another merchant.
Customer-specific order details remain subject to configured verification. AI responses are bounded by merchant-approved knowledge and tools. Uncertain or unavailable actions are escalated rather than represented as completed.
Transactional email
Authenticated merchant owners choose the staff recipients they invite. Invitation and account messages are not marketing subscriptions. HelpBro does not use purchased lists. Email delivery events, bounces, complaints, and suppressions may be processed to operate and protect transactional delivery.
Retention and deletion
HelpBro retains tenant records only as needed to provide, secure, and support the configured service, satisfy merchant-selected retention, prevent duplicate processing, or meet legal obligations. Conversation and transcript retention can differ by tenant and channel. Raw call audio is not retained by default. Shopify privacy webhooks and verified support workflows handle applicable access and redaction requests.
Providers and choices
Amazon Web Services hosts the Development application in the United States. Shopify supplies authorized commerce data. OpenAI or another merchant-configured AI provider processes only the data required for enabled assistance. Channel providers receive information only when that channel is enabled. See Subprocessors.
Merchants can disable storefront chat, remove staff access, disconnect integrations, change retention settings where available, or uninstall HelpBro. Privacy and security requests can be sent through the secure contact form.
Changes
Material changes receive a new version and effective date.
